Specialized Hand Therapy
Hand therapy helps you regain the maximum use of your hand after an injury such as a burn, broken bones or lacerations, after surgery to the hand, wrist, elbow or shoulder, or onset of a disease or disorder such as arthritis or carpal tunnel syndrome. Hand Therapists teach exercises for strength and range of motion, apply modalities such as heat or cold, ultrasound, and massage for pain relief and restoring mobility, and create custom orthotics (splints) to protect the hand as it heals. Our therapists also educate patients in correct ergonomics for computer, workplace and home.
